To all Clergy, PWRDF Parish Representatives and interested persons:

Please mark your calendars for a Diocesan PWRDF one day workshop on Saturday, October 18, 2008. This will be at Trinity Church in Sussex 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Simon Chambers, the newly appointed Youth Director with National PWRDF will be joining us. He will have the latest information on Just generation – the PWRDF youth initiative, as well as information on all youth materials.

Other topics are:

 1. Water resolution made at Synod 2007

Securing clean drinking water as a right

Be it resolved that this Synod recognize and affirm that:

·        Water is a sacred gift that connects all life.

·        Access to clean water is a basic human right.

·        The value of Earth's fresh water to the common good takes priority over any possible commercial value.

·        Fresh water is a sacred legacy, a public trust, and a collective responsibility.

Be it further resolved that the Diocese will explore potential options for action in the promotion of clean water projects.

2. Canadian Food Grains Bank

3. 50th Anniversary of PWRDF in 2009.

4. Members of Diocesan PWRDF committee needed.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, meet PWRDF representatives from other parishes, and learn more about PWRDF. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Lunch will be provided. Numbers are needed to arrange lunch and provide materials so please register on line at anglican.nb.ca or by contacting Betty at 506-327-6524.  Registration deadline is October 15, 2008.  Late registrations welcome without guarantee of lunch or materials.

Diocesan PWRDF Coordinator

Please Note: Recent renovations have depleted the church of the Ascension Building fund and left us with a small deficit. if you have not yet contributed to the painting and bat-proofing projects, please consider a donation.  Clifford Lawrence, Warden.

Bulletin Editor needed:  The Parish needs YOU.  Please consider taking on this ministry.  If you are only able to do it part-time, your services in this ministry would be greatly appreciated. Contact Rev. Bob.

It is hoped that everyone will honour their commitment when accepting the church offering envelopes and make up

their weekly offerings.  Due to the cancelled services on account of winter storms, the Parish is getting short of operating funds.  We depend on your regular and consistent financial support each week to fund our ongoing operational needs, and there is no better way to do so than regular use of church envelopes.  Church envelopes remind us weekly to return a portion of our blessings to God, so that we can carry out what we are called to do.

This is an example of the benefits of e-offering.  Forms are available at you church or contact Carolyn Parent or

Ron Hoyt.

Forward Day by Day: Just a reminder - re the 2008 subscription:  Patti has only received

payment for 7 copies of out of a total of 19.  It is $6 for the year, or $1.50 per copy (for three months).
