I want to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to you as you visit our website. It is my honour and privilege to serve as the Priest-in-Charge in the Parish. As you have probably read our mission statement, we are a Christ-Centered, Mission-Minded, Ministering Community of Faith. These words sum up our ministry as God’ s people with our focus on our neighbour and the world. In our church services, we pray and worship, using the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and the Book of Alternative Services (BAS).

As the parish priest, I serve a warm and welcoming community of faithful believers who love and serve God with all their hearts, minds and souls. There is always a warm smile and handshake waiting at the door for all who enter to worship in our churches. Each Sunday of the month you can find communion services or morning prayer services going on in different parts of the parish.

And now, a little bit about me. I came to this parish in September 2003. I was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia and I have been married to my wife the Rev. Bonnie LeBlanc (parish of Kingston) for 28 years. I attended the Atlantic School of Theology for my studies. I also have a diploma in Business Administration from the Nova Scotia Community College. I am a member of Diocesan Council and serve on a Parish Development Support Team. As well, I serve as a member of a Chaplaincy Support Group for our Hospital Chaplain at the Saint John Regional Hospital. I worked at the Springhill Institution as a Chaplain for three years and also worked as a Counsellor for three years in Group Homes with behaviour problem teens and the mentally ill adults. I have been ordained since 1997.

I am a musician and the guitar is my instrument of choice. I worked as the Office Manager for the very first MusicFest in Springhill which had such names as Bruce Guthro, the Rankin Family and Anne Murray. Currently, I am in a Christian band called The Liturgically Hip (which I named) and we play in different areas of the deanery and the province with a music ministry to the young and the young at heart. I enjoy meeting people and sharing good conversation and laughter with them.

It is my opinion that anyone who visits our parish will experience something for everyone in each of our churches. There is always room for one more as the saying goes, so please come and join us!

In concluding this message, I leave you with some words of scripture.

Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God." John 6:68-69

May God Bless You as you continue to serve Him and seek His will in your life and the life of the church.

Sincerely in Christ,

Rev. Bob + <><
