The Hall next to Christ Church was "From the estate of Robert M. Raymond who had been a mining engineer, a sum of over thirteen thousand dollars was left with the Diocesan Synod for the benefit of the Parish. Interest on this fund together with proceeds realized by the A.Y.P.A. in serving meals to plowing matches formed the nucleus with which was started a parish hall adjacent to Christ Church on land given by E. A. Schofield". The Hall was named the R. M. Raymond Memorial Hall although now, (2007) it is known locally as the Bloomfield Hall. (Quote from Jack Hoyt "History of Christ Church, Parish of Norton", p.77)
